Volgograd Gasoline Price Nears 100 Ruble Psychological Mark

The cost of one liter of gasoline at gas stations in Volgograd is approaching a psychological threshold. If the increase does not stop, the prices will soon cross the 100 ruble mark, which so many motorists dread.
The A-100 grade is currently closest to this threshold: at Lukoil stations, its price reached 92.54 rubles per liter on 31 December but has not increased since then. A different situation is unfolding at Gazpromneft stations, where the price has been rising since the New Year, and over the past two weeks it went up again — by 40 kopecks for each grade.
Fuel prices at Gazprom stations:
A-92 — 61.2 rubles (approx. $0.68 at current rates);
A-95 — 68.2 rubles (approx. $0.76 at current rates);
A-100 — 87.6 rubles (approx. $0.97 at current rates);
Diesel fuel — 73.8 rubles (approx. $0.82 at current rates).
Fortunately, at Rosneft stations, prices have so far remained unchanged since the post-New Year increase, as at Lukoil stations.
By the way, experts see no prospects for a fuel price reduction in 2026. Why? The answer to this question can be found in a separate article.
