On a section of Semakova Street in Tyumen, from Respubliki Street to Volodarskogo Street, traffic has been temporarily restricted. The reason is repair work on the sewer pipeline that started on 2 February. According to the city administration, 100 meters of pipe need to be replaced due to damage caused by a third-party organization. The repair is planned to be completed by 12 February.
City authorities chose not to implement two-way traffic on Turgeneva Street to provide a detour.

Drivers have faced serious inconveniences. The editorial office received complaints about the almost complete absence of proper warning signs about the closure. Instead, makeshift signs have been installed in some directions. Motorists also point out the lack of an organized detour, forcing them to take a long detour through the city center, worsening traffic jams.

A reader described a typical route: «Driving along Respubliki, you pass Kirova Street (one-way), then you hit the repair on Semakova. You have to go past Turgeneva Street — also one-way. Then you get onto Lenina Street, stand in a traffic jam to Chelyuskintsev Street, and only then to the turn onto Volodarskogo. Wouldn«t it have been easier to temporarily make traffic on Turgeneva two-way?»
The mayor«s office explained the progress of the work: «It is necessary to equip three pits for laying the new pipe underground by the end of the week. By 12 February, the entire set of work will be completed, and traffic will be fully restored.»
It should be noted that this is not the only traffic restriction in the city. Recently, traffic was partially blocked at the intersection of Permyakova and Shirotnaya streets due to a pothole formed after the asphalt collapsed.
