The accident occurred on the evening of February 2 on Mendeleeva Street in Volgograd«s Krasnooktyabrsky District. A Hyundai truck crashed into a pole, leaving the driver unable to leave the damaged cab on his own.
Released footage shows severe deformation of the truck«s front end. Rescuers worked by the open doors, helping the man get out. Inside the cab, a deployed airbag and crumpled metal are visible.
The Municipal Institution «Volgograd Rescue Service» (Sluzhba Spaseniya Volgograda) reported: «A truck hit a pole. Upon arrival, rescuers found the driver trapped in the Hyundai truck. Using hydraulic rescue tools, they extricated the injured driver and handed him over to an ambulance team.» The condition of the injured driver is being clarified by the regional health committee. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Volgograd Oblast (GU MVD Rossii po Volgogradskoy oblasti).
