Tree removal on Chernyshevsky Street paves way for new tram stop

In Perm, reconstruction of the tram line on Chernyshevsky Street has begun. Workers cut down several trees at the intersection with Karla Moderakha Street. We found out what is planned there.

Recently, residents of Perm noticed tree cutting on Chernyshevsky Street. Stumps are being uprooted on both sides of the intersection with Karla Moderakha Street.
“Why are they cutting down the trees? They weren’t bothering anyone here. What do they want to do here?” wondered one of the readers of 59.RU.
The situation was clarified by the city transport department for 59.RU. It turned out that preparations are being made for the construction of a new tram stop at this location.
“As part of the reconstruction of the tram line on Chernyshevsky Street, the construction of a new stop is planned at the intersection with Karla Moderakha Street in the direction of the city center. Currently, preparatory work for site planning is underway,” the transport department told 59.RU.
The tree cutting was also commented on by the Movista group of companies, which is reconstructing Perm«s tram network. They stated that all cuttings were coordinated with the mayor»s office and they paid for the planting of compensatory plants.
