Transport Minister on Fines for Novosibirsk's Fourth Bridge

Technical traffic on the fourth bridge in Novosibirsk was opened on December 15 last year.
Speed camera complexes on the fourth bridge in Novosibirsk are not yet sending fines to traffic violators. This was announced by Anatoly Kostylevsky, Minister of Transport and Road Management of the region, at a committee on transport, industrial, and information policy of the Legislative Assembly.
‘The cameras installed there today are stationary and do not issue (fines. — Ed.’s note). They currently operate more as traffic intensity counters, but in the near future we will try to activate the cameras to ensure road safety — for both construction workers and drivers,’ explained the regional transport minister.
Anatoly Kostylevsky also added that there are 12 cameras installed on the bridge, and sometimes mobile violation recording complexes are operational there.
NGS contacted the Ministry of Transport and Road Management to clarify the timeline for connecting the cameras.
On January 20, NGS explained why driving faster than 40 km/h is not allowed on the fourth bridge.
