Nizhny Novgorod authorities appeal to drivers to avoid parking on tram tracks to prevent disruptions to public transport and snow clearance.

According to LLC «Environmental Projects», in January, trams in Nizhny Novgorod could not move for more than 80 hours in total due to cars parked on the tracks.
Citizens are again asked to avoid such parking as it blocks public transport and hinders snow removal.
Incidents where drivers leave cars too close to or directly on the rails are constantly recorded.
Stopping or parking on tram tracks carries an administrative fine of 1.5 thousand rubles (approximately $15 at current rates).
In addition to cars, uncleared snow creates obstacles. For example, yesterday, tram route No. 8 derailed because the tracks were not cleared in time.
