Tram No. 2 Temporarily Halted in Nizhny Novgorod
Starting January 30, tram service on route No. 2 along the outer ring in Nizhny Novgorod has been temporarily suspended. As reported by the company «Ekologicheskiye Proekty» (Environmental Projects), this is a forced measure due to an accident on the utility networks.
The accident occurred on a cold water supply pipeline near the tram tracks at 83 Ilyinskaya Street. Repair and restoration work began at 11:00, resulting in trams not running on the section from Cherny Prud (Black Pond) to Lyadova Square. Specialists are working to eliminate the consequences as quickly as possible.

The day before, in Nizhny Novgorod, cars that were obstructing trams were towed. According to the Central Radio and Television Station (CRTS), electric transport often stands idle due to external factors. In this regard, drivers are urged to be more attentive and not interfere with the work of public transport.
