Train Disruption Hits Multiple Moscow Central Diameters Lines

Passengers on suburban trains are reporting disruptions on several Moscow Central Diameter (MCD) lines, specifically MCD-2 and MCD-4. Based on footage from platforms, crowds were disembarked from at least one train.

‘The train to Kupavna, as shown on the board, reached Maryina Roshcha and disembarked all passengers at 18:30,’ said a passenger on MCD-4.

‘Kupavna disembarked everyone,’ confirmed one of those on the train.

‘I saw this crowd at Serp i Molot station — it was shocking,’ wrote a passenger on MCD-4 under a photo of the throng.
According to the train schedule service Tutu.ru, movement is currently difficult on the section from Poklonnaya to Moscow-Belorusskaya (towards Zheleznodorozhny).
‘Trains are running slower than usual with further increases in travel time up to 10-20 minutes. Delays are expected due to turnaround from late trains, with possible unscheduled reductions and cancellations,’ according to a message on the site.
The press service of Moscow Railways reported the cause of the disruption. It was all due to passengers pulling the emergency brake.
‘Today between 18:04 and 18:15, due to passengers pulling the emergency brake on the section between Kutuzovskaya and Nizhegorodskaya on MCD-4, a disruption in train movement occurred in both directions. Currently, trains are running with the established interval,’ MSK1.RU was told by Moscow Railways.
Additionally, according to ‘Ostorozhno, Moskva’ (Caution, Moscow), train movement on MCD-2 is difficult in both directions in the area of Maryina Roshcha and Rizhskaya stations.
Furthermore, delays are also reported on MCD-3. As passengers write, on this line the cause was a person on the tracks. This information has not yet been confirmed by emergency services.
‘The guy wanted to shorten his path in Bronnitsy by going through a fence, but didn«t make it. He got off the train and decided to cut through the fence to the side of minibuses and shops. He was hit at full speed,’ wrote one of the eyewitnesses.
