Traffic Pattern Changes on M-4 Don Highway

A new traffic management scheme has been introduced at the 1001st kilometer of the M-4 Don highway due to repair work. This information was disseminated by the press service of the state company Avtodor.

The temporary scheme involves traffic moving via a roundabout at the existing interchange. «At the existing interchange at the 1001st kilometer, traffic will be organized via a roundabout for the duration of the work,» the company said.

This section is part of a large-scale reconstruction of the highway, which began in May 2025. The work covers a segment from the 933rd to the 1024th kilometer – from Kamensk-Shakhtinsky to the Aksay bypass.

It is planned to be completed in 2027. As part of the project, nearly 100 kilometers of the road will be expanded from four to six lanes. After the repairs are finished, passage on this section will become toll-based. Avtodor previously informed drivers about possible free alternative routes for detours.
