Traffic changes on the flyover near Myzinsky Bridge

In early February, a temporary traffic management scheme will be implemented on the flyover near Myzinsky Bridge in Nizhny Novgorod. This is related to plans to resume major repairs of the structure in March, according to GUMMiD.

From February 2 at 7:00 a.m., the far right lanes in both directions will be closed. Traffic will flow along the middle lanes.
The third phase of major repairs will start in March, when suitable weather conditions are established. Before the work begins, contractors will clear the roadway of snow, install barriers, road signs, and traffic lights.
According to the contract terms, all work must be completed by December. Authorities plan to open traffic on the entire flyover ahead of schedule — as early as August.
This is the first major repair of the structure in approximately 45 years since its construction. As part of the work on the facility, the following will be carried out:
- replacement of the road surface and span beams,
- strengthening of supports,
- renewal of expansion joints and waterproofing,
- installation of drainage systems,
- repair of sidewalks.
