A major technical failure has occurred in the Leonardo booking and check-in system. In response, Tolmachevo Airport has deployed additional staff. The information was shared on the Novosibirsk airport«s Telegram channel.
As stated in the message, passenger check-in for flights and baggage handling are being done manually due to the failure. To reduce the load and avoid queues, additional staff has been deployed in check-in areas and the number of operational counters has been increased.
Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport early and to carefully monitor updates on online boards, information screens in the terminal, and loudspeaker announcements.
The failure has affected several airlines that use the Leonardo system. Besides Aeroflot, difficulties have been encountered by Rossiya, Pobeda, Ural Airlines, Utair, Red Wings, Aurora, RusLine, Yamal, Alrosa, Izhavia, and other carriers.
Work is actively underway to restore the system to normal operation. Airlines, in turn, have promised to promptly notify passengers of all changes.
