Technical Fault Delays Dushanbe-Kazan Flight by 14 Hours

A Nordwind Airlines flight from Dushanbe to Kazan has been delayed by half a day due to an aircraft malfunction. The company’s press service reported a technical fault on the Boeing 737-800.

«Passengers are provided with services in accordance with Federal Aviation Rules. The airline apologizes for the inconvenience and recommends monitoring flight status information on websites and airport information boards,» the airline said on social media.
The new departure time is 21:00, and it will arrive in the capital of Tatarstan at 00:35 the following day.
It is worth noting that Boeing aircraft are among the most common in Russia. However, due to sanctions, the domestic fleet has been left without spare parts. As a result, domestic airlines have been forced to cannibalize some aircraft to maintain others.
The same applies to Airbus aircraft. Meanwhile, such reports of prolonged delays due to technical faults and even incidents during flights have become more frequent. Recently, for example, after departing from Sochi, a Boeing aircraft issued a distress signal. The plane even disappeared from radar for a time but later returned to Sochi Airport. Smartavia reported that the cause of the incident was «the activation of an indication of one of the aircraft»s systems.«
To solve the problem of spare parts and warranty service, some airlines wanted to purchase passenger aircraft assembled at the Kazan Aviation Plant. However, problems arose here as well: the plant has repeatedly postponed the dates for serial production of aircraft. Because of this, for example, S7 may refuse to purchase a hundred aircraft at once.
