Technical Failure Fixed: Sochi Airport Resumes Normal Operations

Minor flight delays are promised to be eliminated in the near future
Sochi Airport has resumed normal operations after a major technical failure, which paralyzed the passenger check-in system, was fixed. The operation of the «Astra» («Sirena-Travel») software suite has been fully restored, according to the airport«s official Telegram channel.
The airport assured that additional staff are working in the terminals to assist passengers.
— We draw attention to the fact that airlines may adjust their schedules by canceling or rescheduling individual flights. In case of changes, air carriers will inform passengers via the contacts provided in the booking, — the press service specified.
Passengers are advised to check the current status of their flights independently. Recall that at 4 p.m. on 26 January, due to a global failure in the «Astra» system, the automatic check-in of passengers and baggage was temporarily suspended, leading to the need for manual processing and possible delays.
