Snow removal continues in Voronezh after the city was hit by snowfall on January 30 and 31. To clear snowdrifts, two streets in the Leninsky District will be closed overnight from February 1 to 2, the city hall warns.

The affected streets are Bolshaya Streletskaya Street and Stankevicha Street (from Krasnoarmeysky Lane to Bolshaya Streletskaya). Traffic will be restricted from 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2.

However, not all traffic on these streets will be banned. Access will be permitted for residents of houses located on Bolshaya Streletskaya and Stankevicha streets.

On the night of January 31 to February 1, after the snowfall ended, more than 12,000 cubic meters of snow were removed from the streets of Voronezh. Both municipal and additional contracted equipment were used for this work. Drivers have been repeatedly asked not to park on roadsides to avoid hindering cleanup. Some areas have yet to be cleared: readers of Voronezh1.ru complained about unplowed parking lots near Regional Hospital No. 1 on Moskovsky Prospekt.
