Stavropol Territory's Svetlograd-Blagodarny-Budyonnovsk Highway Fully Closed

The morning of January 27 in Petrovsky District began not with coffee, but with emergency restrictions. From 07:50, all traffic has been completely halted on the Svetlograd — Blagodarny — Budyonnovsk highway. The affected section spans from kilometer 1 to kilometer 33 — from Svetlograd to Blagodarny.

According to the Stavropol Territory State Traffic Inspectorate, the reason is a weather assault on all fronts: strong crosswinds, a blizzard, and practically zero visibility. In effect, the highway has turned into a «white wall,» where it«s impossible to see even the nearest car.

At the site of the imposed restrictions, traffic police patrols are on duty, and police officers are monitoring movement. Drivers are strongly urged to refrain from traveling in this direction and not to take risks — road conditions remain dangerous.
