Severodvinsk resident killed in highway accident on M-8

In Kholmogorsky District, a car fatally struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road. The information about the death of the northern resident was confirmed by 29.RU from the press service of the regional police department.

The tragedy occurred on the evening of February 1 at the 1175th kilometer of the M-8 highway, near the border with Primorsky District. According to the traffic police of Kholmogorsky District, the deceased was a passenger in one of the cars—he ran onto the road and was hit by another vehicle.

A 40-year-old resident of Severodvinsk suddenly ran onto the roadway from a BMW car that had stopped on the shoulder, in which he was riding as a passenger. The driver of a Ford Focus, moving in the same direction, could not avoid a collision. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died at the scene.

In January, a bus driver hit another resident of Severodvinsk who ended up on the roadway. Before that, another bus struck a 22-year-old girl at a pedestrian crossing in Arkhangelsk.

On January 31, in Krasnoborsky District, a fatal accident occurred in which three people died and two more were hospitalized.
