Several Trains in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Delayed Due to Abnormal Snowfall

Passengers of trains in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Chuvashia complained about significant delays. The press service of GZD (Gorky Railway Directorate) confirmed the schedule deviations to NN.RU and also detailed which trains were delayed and by how much.

According to company representatives, trains were delayed on February 1 due to abnormal snowfall. The following trains did not arrive as scheduled:

No. 71 Cheboksary – Moscow (delay 2 hours 32 minutes);

  • No. 25 Izhevsk – Moscow (delay 1 hour 42 minutes);

  • No. 128 Moscow – Kazan (delay 2 hours 40 minutes);

  • No. 129 Kazan – Moscow (delay 1 hour 11 minutes);

  • No. 111 Krugloye Pole – Moscow (delay 1 hour 55 minutes);

  • No. 57 Yoshkar-Ola – Moscow (delay 1 hour 48 minutes).

    All the mentioned trains pass through Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in transit. Currently, they have already arrived at their final stations, and GZD apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers.

    Recall that today, due to snowfall, trams in Nizhny Novgorod also had problems with passage. For instance, tram No. 8 derailed because the tracks were not cleaned in time. Utility workers had to dig out the car. Read more here.
