Several intercity bus routes cancelled in Nizhny Novgorod

Several suburban and intercity bus routes from Chkalovsk have been canceled in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Local authorities called the situation temporary difficulties and explained it by a driver shortage.
According to the official page of the administration, from February 2 to 9, buses from Chkalovsk to Nizhny Novgorod, Zavolzhye, the settlement of Chistoye, the villages of Beloye and Solomaty, the hamlets of Zhelezovo and Libezhevo, Pestyaki, and those following the City Ring will temporarily not run. The full list of canceled routes is below:
“According to the staffing schedule, there should be 15 drivers, but currently there are only 7, so some routes are temporarily canceled. Of course, the canceled routes are also important, but this is a necessary measure. The management is actively looking for new drivers because the situation is indeed difficult. Please understand our position. These are temporary difficulties, and we hope they will end soon,” wrote administration representatives.
Recall that at the end of last year, tram route No. 21 was temporarily canceled in Nizhny Novgorod. According to the Center for Transport Systems Development, its movement is planned to resume this summer.
