Samara Region Transport Ministry Announces Changes to Rozhdestveno Ferry
The fastest and safest way to cross to the Volga«s right bank in winter is by hovercraft, but residents say there are not enough.
The Ministry of Transport and Highways has warned residents of Samara Region that starting January 24, the waiting area for winter ferry departures to Rozhdestveno will change.
The ministry published a bright poster on its Telegram channel about the ferry service changes.
«For passenger convenience, ticket sales will be organized in the River Station building. This will make waiting for the flight more comfortable in freezing weather. As soon as the dispatcher announces the vessel»s readiness, boarding will take place at the Leningradskiy Descent,« the ministry»s representatives said.
The first morning departure from Samara is at 8:00, and the last evening departure from Rozhdestveno is at 19:00. Vessels depart on the route as they fill up.
«The ferry service operates taking into account the ice conditions on the Volga waters. We ask passengers to follow the latest information on the official resources of the ministry and the Samara River Passenger Enterprise,» the regional Ministry of Transport added.
«A second carrier, LLC »KP Poran«, continues to operate on the line. Hivus-type vessels depart from the area near the descent on Komsomolskaya Street,» the Samara Region Ministry of Transport reported.
