Samara closes Moscow Highway for heat pipe repair

New footage shows the closure of Samara«s main artery, Moscow Highway, where the heating network is being repaired. The work was filmed by a local video blogger.
Traffic on the highway was closed on July 16 near Ploshchad Pamyati (Memory Square), where the highway branches off from Michurina Street. According to the Samara branch of T Plus, a fault was found in the heating networks from the Privokzalnaya heating plant, requiring replacement of 140 meters of pipeline under the roadway.
Judging by the recording, work on the site is extensive. Heating network workers have dug up the section of Moscow Highway across its entire width, but concrete slabs are now being laid over the new pipes.
Work is expected to be completed and traffic reopened on July 22. However, that same day, traffic on Michurina Street will be closed, with restrictions lasting until July 28.
