S7 Airlines will receive 100 new medium-haul Tu-214 aircraft. According to the S7 Group press service, the company signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation) and the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC).

This is a preliminary agreement — the exact timelines, delivery volumes, and other terms of the deal will be agreed upon by the parties by the end of 2026, S7 added.

«The memorandum records the progress achieved over the past period. Within the framework of joint working groups, S7 Group and UAC have determined the technical appearance of the Tu-214, necessary improvements to the operational documentation, as well as the cabin layout that will accommodate up to 213 passengers,» the airline reported.

STLC will act as the financial partner in the deal. S7 Group companies will operate the aircraft. S7 Technics will be responsible for the technical maintenance of the new aircraft, and flight crews and ground personnel will be trained at the S7 Training center.

The delivery of serial aircraft is expected to begin in 2029.

Recall that a record number of passengers passed through Tolmachevo Airport (Novosibirsk) in 2025.
