RZD Announces Sole Ritsa Train Journey in 2026
It will be a week-long cruise from Moscow to Sukhumi via Rostov-on-Don, Novorossiysk, and Sochi.

RZD (Russian Railways) has announced the only trip of the Ritsa tourist train for October 9, 2026. The journey will last 7 days.
The first stop of the cruise is in Novorossiysk. The program includes sightseeing, visiting Abrau-Dyurso and other wineries in the Krasnodar region.
The train arrives in Gagra the next day. It will stay there for two days, during which passengers will visit waterfalls, the Yupshara Canyon, and Lake Ritsa.
Next, the train will head to Sukhumi, where passengers will spend the entire day. In addition to the capital of Abkhazia, an excursion to New Athos is planned.
On the fourth day, the train will arrive in Sochi, where passengers will have free time for walks.
To conclude the excursion program, the train will stop for one day in Rostov-on-Don. According to RZD«s press service, the tourist train is a »hotel on wheels.« It is equipped with dining and bar cars, a sauna, and a shower. The cost of the cruise includes linen and breakfast.
