Since January 1, some bus routes in Voronezh were changed, which caused a wave of indignation among residents of the left bank. Bus No. 56 was canceled, and route 65 was redirected to the Ozery microdistrict via Novosibirskaya, Rostovskaya, Mendeleeva streets, Leninsky Prospekt, and others, no longer passing through Irkutskaya.

Now residents of Irkutskaya Street and surrounding private sectors have to walk significant distances to the nearest stops — the FSIN Institute (Federal Penitentiary Service Institute) or Khladokombinat No. 4 (Cold Storage Plant No. 4).

On social media, residents actively share their discontent:

«Route 65 also got «optimized» — now everything goes to Ozery, leaving a stretch of street with dozens of high-rise buildings and many more private homes without transport. People complained that route 65 ran unpredictably and didn«t follow the schedule — apparently, they decided to fix it at the root: no bus, no problem, and no complaints,»

«What was the purpose of merging routes 56 and 65? It says interval 10–12 minutes, but who is enforcing and monitoring it? We stand for 40 minutes waiting for a bus to leave on the only route that goes through the left bank from Mendeleeva. Aren«t we human? A public opinion poll was conducted, they say... I wonder who they asked? On Monday, January 12, in the morning, people couldn»t get to work because there was no bus for an hour! Summer is one thing, but in winter?»

«Give us back route 65 via Irkutskaya, not via the vegetable depot!»

«On the left bank, they removed minibus route 56 (to Ozery). Today, only two 65s came in an hour — getting on, riding, and getting off is a quest!» — passengers share their impressions.

«City administration, please return route 65 to its previous route via Irkutskaya. People have to walk far to the vegetable depot,» — residents appeal to the authorities, for whom the walk to the stop is now comparable to a mini-hike.

«We were asked to say «thank you» for route 65 (56) — everything for the people!!! They just forgot to ask the people themselves.»

Voronezh1.ru sought clarification from the city administration. There, they said that work on optimizing the route network continues. In response to residents« complaints, officials stated the following:

«The issue of additional organization of public transport along Irkutskaya Street may be reconsidered after measures aimed at improving the safety and comfort of passenger transportation are carried out. In particular, installing a traffic light at the intersection with Ilyushina Street and equipping new stops,» — the mayor«s office responded.

Also, the department added that at present, routes No. 6, 8, 36, 86 continue to operate through the section of Irkutskaya Street (stops Khladokombinat No. 4, Garazhi, Institut).
