Road Worker Held Accountable for Sidewalk Snow Removal Issues in Novosibirsk

Recently in Novosibirsk, a road service employee was held accountable for improper street cleaning. The city hall explained which sections caught the attention of the prosecutors.
As reported by the city hall press center with reference to the Central District administration, instances of improper cleaning of roads and sidewalks from snow were identified in the Zheleznodorozhny District. This concerns Zheleznodorozhnaya Street near buildings No. 17 and No. 1a, as well as near house No. 5 in front of the Sovetskaya stop.
The list also included 1905 Goda Street near building No. 41, the roadway near Chelyuskintsev No. 17, and the sidewalk near house No. 3 on Dmitry Shamsherin«s side.
A notice was issued to the municipal state institution of Novosibirsk «Road Maintenance Unit No. 1», according to the statement.
It is specified that the violations were corrected by the municipal state institution «Road Maintenance Unit No. 1» (MКУ DEU No. 1). The Novosibirsk Regional Prosecutor«s Office reported that employees identified numerous instances of inaction in cleaning roads and sidewalks from snow. An administrative offense case was initiated against the responsible worker.
On 22 January, a reader of NGS reported problems with cleaning on Obskaya Street. According to her, local residents are forced to stand in traffic jams every day.
