A road accident at the intersection of Rostovskaya Street and tram tracks in the Voroshilovsky district of Volgograd has led to changes in the route patterns of five tram lines and created a traffic jam on Profsoyuznaya Street.
The dispatch service announced: «Due to the accident, the boundaries of trams on routes No. 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 have been temporarily changed. Trams on route No. 1 run between Monchegorskaya and KIM, trams on route No. 4 from the ‘Shoe Factory’ stop to KIM Street, trams on routes No. 5, 6, and 7 go to the terminal ‘Children’s Center’. We will report further on changes. We apologize for the inconvenience.»
The accident occurred at a railway crossing where the road intersects tram tracks. Due to the incident, a traffic jam has already formed on Profsoyuznaya Street.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volgograd Region (MVD) confirmed the collision, adding that only vehicles were damaged and no one was injured.
