Residents of Krasnoslobodsk complain about disruptions to minibus route 174

Residents of Krasnoslobodsk, a settlement separated from Volgograd, have expressed sharp dissatisfaction with the operation of minibus route 174.

It is reported that on weekends during morning and evening hours, people have to wait for transport for about 40 minutes in the cold.

I live in Krasnoslobodsk, the transport here is terrible. On weekends, minibuses come every 40 minutes. Yesterday, leaving work from Volgograd, I stood at the stop for 45 minutes. When the minibus arrived, I asked the driver where the other minibuses were. I was told — they broke down! Only during the day do they run every 10 minutes, but as soon as it«s the weekend, they immediately break down, — readers of V1.RU complain. — The minibuses are freezing cold, always overcrowded. This morning was the same picture. It»s impossible to leave the settlement at 7 a.m., we stood at the stop for 30 minutes. All stops are packed, people are freezing and are significantly late for work. If the route owner can«t handle his subordinate drivers, let them cancel the route and start buses. Otherwise, they can kick passengers off for a shortage of 10 rubles (about $0 at current rates), but when it comes to running on time, the vehicles immediately break down.

Transport difficulties on this route have a long history. Back in February of last year, the operation of minibus route 174 was disrupted due to the owner«s death, which effectively isolated Krasnoslobodsk from Volgograd. At that time, officials claimed that the schedule was being adhered to, and the possibility of launching buses was not even considered.

The editorial staff of V1.RU has again contacted the transport and road infrastructure committee for clarification on the current situation with route 174.
