Rescuers Deploy Warming Points on Highways in Rostov Region

Emergency services have established 12 mobile warming centers along major highways in the Rostov Region to assist drivers during severe winter weather conditions.

Rescuers have deployed 12 mobile warming points on highways in the Rostov Region. This was reported by the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM).

Locations of the points:

Volgodonsk-Morozovsk highway;
1000 km mark of the M-4 «Don» highway;
316 km mark of the R-260 highway;
983 km mark of the M-4 «Don» highway;
929 km mark of the M-4 «Don» highway;
216 km mark of the R-260 highway;
1014 km mark of the M-4 «Don» highway;
1056 km mark of the M-4 «Don» highway;
1086 km mark of the M-4 «Don» highway;
82 km mark of the R-280 highway;
52 km mark of the R-280 highway;
853 km mark of the M-4 «Don» highway.

At these points, drivers and their passengers can warm up, charge their phones, drink hot tea, and wait out the bad weather.

It is reported that currently, in 15 municipalities of the Rostov Region, five operational groups of fire and rescue garrisons are on duty on the highways. The road situation is monitored using 67 surveillance cameras.

According to meteorologists, blizzards, ice, and wet snow accumulation will persist in the Rostov Region until January 26.
