Racing banned on Novosibirsk's fourth bridge over 'snail's pace' limit
In Novosibirsk, a new speed limit on the fourth bridge is being ignored by drivers, according to local activists.

The fourth bridge in Novosibirsk was opened to traffic in December 2025, but remains under construction with a 40 km/h speed limit.

The fourth bridge was discussed in the Legislative Assembly of Novosibirsk Oblast. Traffic on it is open, but the facility has not yet been commissioned. That is why a speed limit of 40 km/h was set, but drivers are not complying. Public activists believe that the bridge should have been completed fully before opening.
On 20 January, the committee on transport, industrial, and information policy of the Legislative Assembly of Novosibirsk Oblast considered an appeal from the Novosibirsk regional branch of the Federation of Car Owners of Russia (FAR) to cancel the speed restrictions.
