Priora Crashes Into Pole Opposite Police Station Volgograd
Eyewitnesses suggest the driver was in an altered state of consciousness.
In the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd, a Lada Priora crashed into a pole opposite Police Department No. 8. According to eyewitnesses, the injured driver suffered severe head trauma and was in an altered state of consciousness.
The accident occurred today at around noon on Machtzavodskaya Street. Nearby are Police Department No. 8 of the Krasnoarmeysky district and Kindergarten No. 367. Eyewitnesses suggest the driver was in an altered state of consciousness.
According to witnesses, the car skidded on the road, causing the driver to lose control — the Priora slammed into a pole. The impact threw the car to the side. The consequences of the crash can be seen in photos: bloodstains are visible on the driver«s seat, steering wheel, and passenger door.
The regional health committee confirmed that an ambulance crew was called to the scene of the accident.
— The patient was admitted to the maxillofacial surgery department of City Hospital No. 1, — added the committee. — His condition is of moderate severity.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volgograd Region commented briefly on the accident:
— The driver lost control and hit a pole. As a result of the accident, he himself was injured.
As a reminder, recently a truck driver crashed into a pole in the Krasnooktyabrsky district. The damage to the vehicle was so severe that the driver could not get out on his own and needed rescue workers. However, after being examined by an ambulance crew, he refused hospitalization.
