Previous contractor quits Suvorovsky road project in Rostov
The Directorate for Construction of Transport Infrastructure Objects of Rostov is once again looking for a contractor to repair Vavilova Street on the section from Sheboldaeva to Vavilova, 69. The information appeared on the public procurement portal on 20 July. The contractor is offered 152.5 million rubles (approximately $1,605,300 at current rates).
Earlier, a contract for the repair of Vavilova was concluded with the company Dorstroy. The firm was to receive 155.4 million rubles (approximately $1,636,800). But later the contractor refused the contract because it could not fulfill the state order properly.
According to Kontur.Fokus, the founder of Dorstroy LLC is Daniil Rozhkov, and the director is Alexander Pashkevich. The company is registered in Aksai. Revenue at the end of 2025 amounted to 5.9 billion rubles (approximately $62,105,300), net profit — 59.4 million rubles (approximately $625,300).
«Due to the lack of financing from credit institutions, the lack of advance payment under the contract, and difficulties in providing construction materials for the facilities,» — these are the reasons Dorstroy cited in its unilateral refusal.
Earlier, the repair was planned to be completed by 1 September 2026. Now the deadlines have been moved to 1 November.
Recall that earlier Dorstroy refused to repair Voroshilovsky Prospekt. The company cited the same reasons as in the case of the Vavilova repair. Now the Rostov authorities are looking for a new contractor. They are ready to spend 167.7 million rubles (approximately $1,765,300) on the project.
In 2023, Rostov began repairing a section of Vavilova from Osobennaya Street to Sosnovaya Street. The completion deadlines were postponed several times. According to the latest data, work should be completed in autumn 2026. We published a chronology of the Vavilova reconstruction.
