In recent days, Perm residents have been complaining about tram delays. For example, today, 5 February, as many as 80 people gathered at the Ulitsa Sovetskoy Armii stop. We explain why the problems are occurring.
Since the beginning of February, Perm residents have been complaining to the 59.RU newsroom about trams being idle. On 1 February, a reader reported that tram No. 7 could not move due to snow on the tracks and was slipping. The driver had to clear the way herself. On the morning of 2 February, six trams stopped on Ulitsa Stroiteley. Residents said ice had accumulated on the rails.
Today, 5 February, a female reader of 59.RU complained about a 30-minute wait for a tram.
«This morning between 8:03 and 8:37 there were no trams Nos. 11 and 12k, only the No. 12, which goes from School No. 107, passed by,» a Perm resident told 59.RU. «At the «Ulitsa Sovetskoy Armii» stop, more than 80 people gathered at one point; I personally stood there for all 30 minutes, and it was impossible to get to Borchaninova.»
As 59.RU was told by Permgorelektrotrans (the Perm City Electric Transport Enterprise), trams are delayed in the mornings on certain sections due to heavy snowfall. Ice and snow buildup form on the tracks, causing difficulties. Trams have difficulty starting from a stop.
Today, 5 February, specialists and equipment from Permgorelektrotrans cleared the tracks on the most problematic sections.
Permgorelektrotrans noted that information about delays is promptly published in the Telegram channel «Permsky Transport» (Perm Transport). You can see where a tram or bus is in real time on the website m.gortransperm.ru.
Earlier we reported that from 2 February, tram routes No. 3 and 7 were temporarily combined in Perm.
