Perm drivers stuck in long Krasavinsky Bridge jam

On the morning of July 21, a long traffic jam backed up on the Krasavinsky Bridge toward central Perm. The left side of the bridge had recently been closed for pothole repairs.

This morning, drivers encountered a serious traffic jam on the Krasavinsky Bridge — according to online maps, it stretched about 3.3 kilometers. The situation was worsened by two accidents: the map shows collisions marked at 08:49 and 10:49.
In the online mapping app, drivers actively discussed the traffic jam.
«A truck and a Ford, and another [accident] happened,» Dmitry wrote.
«We»ve been stuck for 40 minutes,« Zinaida stated.
«Oh dear! We were barely moving on two lanes, and now they»ve left just one!« Timofei complained.
«Nothing changes for decades!» another Perm resident fumed.
«Good thing I brought coffee,» Alexei resigned.
Currently, the left lane of the Krasavinsky Bridge is closed for repairs. That section is where potholes regularly appear, with rebar sticking out of one. Because of the potholes, drivers frequently get into accidents and puncture tires, leading to multi-kilometer traffic jams on the bridge.
Earlier, we reported that tomorrow traffic will open on the overpass on Monastyrskaya near Perm I station, but the exit to Maxim Gorky Street will be closed.
