In Novosibirsk, by order of a bailiff, over a million rubles (approximately $11,300 at current rates) was deducted from a Siberian woman«s bank account. The funds were seized due to a debt for the recycling fee on an imported SUV.

This was reported in the group of the Russian Federal Bailiff Service (GU FSSP of Russia) for the region on VKontakte on January 26. According to the department, enforcement proceedings were initiated against a 55-year-old resident of Novosibirsk to recover the debt in favor of customs.

The reason for the recovery was an unpaid recycling fee for a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover that was imported into Russia.

«After the deadline for voluntary compliance expired, the court bailiff issued an order to arrest the funds in her bank account and then enforced the recovery,» the message stated.

It is specified that the funds in the woman«s account were sufficient to cover 841,000 rubles (approximately $8,400 at current rates) of the principal debt and an additional 293,000 rubles (approximately $2,900 at current rates) in late fees. The total amount was over a million rubles.

In December, bailiffs seized a Mercedes-Benz GLE-class belonging to an entrepreneur. Eleven enforcement proceedings were initiated against him.
