Orenburg alters several bus routes with updated stops

At a meeting of the city transport commission in Orenburg, changes to bus route operations were discussed. The reason was appeals from Orenburg residents and newly developing neighborhoods in the city.

Now, buses No. 10, 56N, and 84N will take you to the thermal complex «Thermoland», located in the mega-mall «Marmelad». The commission members unanimously approved the route schemes.
Route No. 24 «Chelyuskintsev Street — Mount Sulak», while heading to the center of Orenburg via Amurskaya Street, will detour to Karachi.
And on the popular route No. 80N «Avtomobilistov Street — Kuybyshev Settlement», authorities have increased the number of buses. By the way, its final stop will now be Zelenko Street.
The final point has also changed for route No. 78N: now the bus goes to the stop «20th Microdistrict» instead of «Medovyy Shopping Center».
When exactly the adopted changes will take effect, the Orenburg administration has not specified.
According to the head of the regional center, Albert Yumadilov, the main reason for the changes is an analysis of passenger flow, taking into account coverage of newly developing neighborhoods. New shopping centers and cultural-entertainment centers are opening; there are many complaints from city residents about public transport operations.
«Not all issues brought up for consideration were supported by commission members. Some were sent for additional refinement. We will return to their detailed discussion and decision-making at the next commission meeting,» the mayor stated.
Recall that at the end of 2025, Yumadilov said that returning to the old numbering for route transport would not solve the bus problem. According to him, to revert to the previous numbers on minibus routes, it would be necessary to essentially roll back the entire transport system.
«From the citizens» perspective, I would gladly return the old bus numbering myself, however, from a legal point of view, resolving this issue, so concerning to residents, is already not easy. We will have to compensate for the material costs incurred by commercial structures because we took away their routes during a certain period of time. That is, it will be, well, a Russian-style emergency,« the official said.
