In Omsk, authorities plan to implement modern software for public transport, with nearly 12 million rubles (about $133,000 at current rates) allocated to it. This was announced by Sergei Shelest in his Telegram channel.

«The new automated ground transport management system will include a telematics monitoring platform, as well as special software solutions for dispatch, optimal schedule calculation, passenger flow analysis, passenger information, and more,» noted Shelest.

The new program will be able to monitor the operation of up to 1,300 vehicles simultaneously. It is scheduled for launch this year.

Previously, NGS55.RU reported that city residents criticized the purchase of 50 new PAZ brand buses running on natural gas. According to Omsk residents, it is necessary to purchase large, high-capacity transport, as crowding sometimes occurs among passengers.
