Nizhny Novgorod Residents Can Appeal Queue Parking Fines

Many Nizhny Novgorod drivers were worried about receiving parking fines while queuing for gasoline, as they believed they were not at fault.

Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region will be able to appeal parking fines for stopping under a «No Stopping» sign that they received while waiting in queues at gas stations. This was reported by the press service of the regional Interior Ministry (MVD).

As the department stated, decisions to cancel fines will be made after receiving citizens« appeals. This concerns tickets issued for similar traffic violations.

«If a citizen, against whom a penalty order for a similar traffic violation has been issued, files an appeal, a decision will be made to cancel each such order, taking into account the insignificance of the offense or that the driver acted under conditions of extreme necessity,» the police explained.
