The image shows buses navigating around a large puddle caused by the burst pipe on 9 Maya Street.
On the afternoon of January 26, a pipe burst at the intersection of 9 Maya and Komsomolsky a pipe burst — the roadway was flooded with water, and ice formed on the asphalt. Nine public transport routes were diverted, according to the transport department.
These are electric bus No. 1 and buses No. 7, 8, 17, 50, 60, 63, 64, 71. All of them, when heading towards the center, usually travel along 9 Maya. Now, temporarily, they turn off earlier: they go along Urvantseva, then Svetlogorskaya and Shumyatskogo, and then return to 9 Maya and continue on their route. In the opposite direction, transport runs as usual.
The pipe burst on the territory of a former market — the building itself is currently being demolished. Due to the frost, a fitting cracked in the well, they didn«t manage to shut off the water in time, and a considerable amount spilled out. Now the leak has been stopped, and it has not affected residential buildings and social institutions in the area — cold water is available there.
Utility workers are already on site. The buses will return to their regular routes when the road is repaired and the ice is removed.
