New Volgabasy buses have begun undergoing technical inspections, and equipment will be installed and checked in them. Ten buses will be checked per day. This was reported on January 26 in the Telegram channel «Yakutsk 400».
The buses will start operating gradually from the beginning of February. A total of 50 new buses have been brought to Yakutsk, which will serve routes No. 5, 12, 7, 14, 17, and 18.
Head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolayev handed over the keys to the carrier — the company «Soyuz Avto» — on January 22. The capital of the republic will receive a total of 116 new buses, with over 470 million rubles (approximately $5.2 million at current rates) allocated from the federal budget for this purpose. The purchase of equipment will continue until 2028 under the «Public Transport Development» project as part of the national project «Infrastructure for Life».
