Murmansk and Severomorsk offer free public transport on Monday

On the evening of January 23, a massive power outage occurred in Murmansk and Severomorsk. The cause was the collapse of power line supports. The accident left city residents without heating and light, and streets were cut off from street lighting. Due to the emergency, travel on January 26 has been made free for residents.

«Today, travel on trolleybuses and buses under regulated and non-regulated tariffs in Murmansk, the closed administrative-territorial formation of Severomorsk, and between them will be free,» the Ministry of Transport of the Murmansk Region reported.

Recall that in Severomorsk on January 26, all kindergartens will operate as usual. However, educational institutions in Murmansk are switching to remote learning; we reported who will be affected by the changes.
