Multiple trains to Moscow delayed after freight car derailment

Three long-distance trains are running with delays to the capital. Trains No. 1 Vladivostok–Moscow, No. 2 Moscow–Vladivostok, and No. 91 Severobaikalsk–Moscow are behind schedule, the press service of Gorky Railway (a branch of Russian Railways, RZD) reported.
The cause was the derailment of 21 cars, which occurred during the day on the Orici-Shalegovo section in Kirov Oblast. No one was injured in the incident. Traffic on the section was temporarily halted.
«Currently, restoration work is underway at the site, involving 3 recovery trains. The causes of the incident are being established,» the press service of Gorky Railway reported.
An operational headquarters has been set up at the site.
