Work at Kochetovka-2 station in the Tambov region, where on 4 February a derailment of tank cars carrying gasoline and gas occurred, forced the Federal Passenger Company (FPK) to adjust the schedule.
In a Telegram channel, FPK reported: «Due to ongoing work at Kochetovka-2 station in the Tambov region, adjustments are being made to the movement of a number of FPK trains. Departure times are being changed for several trains on 5 February.»
Thus, train No. 1 Moscow-Volgograd will depart not at 13:50 but around 19:00. Train No. 15/16 on the same route, scheduled to depart from Paveletsky station at 20:10, remains unchanged for now.
«We inform passengers of all changes via SMS,» the company noted. If the delay exceeds four hours, passengers are provided with meals. Railway workers are doing everything possible to reduce delays and restore traffic.
The incident at Kochetovka-2 station occurred on the evening of 4 February. After the derailment of tank cars with gasoline and gas, a fire broke out, which was contained six hours later.
