Moscow Updates Ground Transport Routes, Adds 10 New Stops

The Moscow Department of Transport reported changes to bus and electric bus services in several districts of the capital. They will take effect on 7 February. Three routes will operate on an updated scheme, and 10 new stops will be added on 20 routes.

Transport on the adjusted routes will run more frequently. In addition, buses and electric buses will stop closer to key points.

«This will allow residents of large residential complexes and visitors to social institutions to quickly and conveniently reach the nearest rail stations. On the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we are improving the ground transport route network to make passenger trips even more comfortable,» said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.
According to the transport department, two social routes — s511 and s811 — will become district routes 511 and 811. Electric buses will run more frequently, and the starting point of route 511 will be near the residential complex on Bochkova Street, while route 811 will be extended to the Nagatinskaya metro station.
Route 934 will be redirected from Lomonosovsky and Leninsky Prospekts to Universitetsky Prospekt. Residents will get a frequent connection to the Sokolnicheskaya metro line.
For 5 routes, 3 new bidirectional stops will be introduced:
«Volovya Street» will work for route 74 in both directions;
«Alleya Zhemchugovoi» will work for routes 208 and 408 in both directions;
«Bolshaya Filyovskaya Street» on Novozavodskaya Street for routes 366 and s369 will work in both directions.
For 15 routes in Moscow and the Moscow region, 7 new stops will be organized:
For trunk route m23, add a request stop «Ulitsa Nizhnie Mnevniki»: buses will stop where routes 389 and 391 stop;

Modernization of the transport sector in the capital is being carried out under the national project «Infrastructure for Life». Under the same project, Moscow has begun developing the Central Transport Hub, which will become a unified system with predictable suburban rail transport for more than 30 million residents of 11 Russian regions.
