A plane operated by Ural Airlines, flight U6-797 on the Moscow-Dubai route, made a forced landing at Sochi airport.
The transport prosecutor«s office has launched an investigation into the incident. The department stated: »A technical inspection has been organized for the aircraft, and passengers are temporarily accommodated in the airport terminal. The observance of the rights of passengers awaiting the continuation of the flight is under the supervision of the regulatory authority.«
According to the airline, after the malfunction was fixed, the aircraft continued its flight to the destination. The specific cause of the landing is not stated.
Earlier, at Koltsovo Airport (Yekaterinburg), an emergency landing occurred for a plane traveling from Novokuznetsk to St. Petersburg, causing a delay of 4.5 hours.
On the first day of the new year, passengers on the Yekaterinburg-Phuket flight also faced a long delay, spending several hours in the waiting area.
Additionally, there was earlier information about a forced landing in Turkmenistan of a plane flying from Dubai to Yekaterinburg.
