Morning commuter train over an hour late angers passengers

For five consecutive days, the morning commuter train from Arzamas to Nizhny Novgorod has been arriving at least an hour late, infuriating passengers who are rushing to work.

Passengers have complained to NN.RU about regular delays on the Arzamas–Nizhny Novgorod commuter train. According to them, for several days the morning train has been at least an hour late.

The train in question is No. 6703/6704, which runs from Arzamas-2 station to Moscow Station in Nizhny. According to the schedule, it should depart at 4:39 a.m. and arrive in the capital of the Volga region at 7:27 a.m., but recently it has been arriving with delays.

«For five days in a row it has brought us to Nizhny Novgorod with a delay of an hour or more. And people are hurrying to work by 8–9 a.m.,» a reader shared with us.

He also drew attention to the quality of snow removal from passenger platforms. According to him, at the 302nd and 310th kilometers, people are knee-deep in snowdrifts.

NN.RU sent a request to the Gorky Railway (GZhD) to clarify the situation.

Additionally, at the beginning of this week, long-distance trains and commuter trains in the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast were delayed en masse. The reason was a freight train derailment on the Orici-Shalegovo section in Kirov Oblast. More details were provided in a previous article.
