«Morning train cancellations on MCD-2. Again at the busiest rush hour,» said a reader of MSK1.RU.
As explained to a correspondent of MSK1.RU by the press service of the TsPPK (Central Suburban Passenger Company), the cancellations were due to weather conditions as well as a minor incident.
«Due to difficult weather conditions, targeted changes have been made to the suburban train schedule. Several services have been removed from the schedule,» the agency noted. «On the D2 and Riga direction, several trains towards Nakhabino are delayed due to medical assistance being provided on one of them at Kursk Station. The train was stopped while waiting for and during the work of medics, after which it continued along its route. Together with the Moscow Railway (MZhD), we are taking measures to reduce delays.»
Passengers on MCD-2 also complained about a similar problem yesterday. From 4 PM, at least three trains were cancelled.
In addition, mass train cancellations also occurred on the Paveletskaya direction. According to readers, problems began around 6 PM.
In Moscow on Tuesday, amid severe frost, a large-scale disruption in transport operations occurred. People crowded on platforms and at stops and often could not board due to the large congestion of passengers.
