Mass tram stoppage in central Yekaterinburg
Dozens of trams have stopped on Lunacharsky Street due to a power outage. Emergency services are on the scene.

On February 5, a mass tram stoppage occurred on Lunacharsky Street in Yekaterinburg. The trams did not move for over 20 minutes.

According to the Department of Transport, the cause was a power outage on the Shevchenko line. Delays affected tram routes:
- No. 2
- No. 3
- No. 8
- No. 12
- No. 14
- No. 16
- No. 20
- No. 21
Emergency service workers are on site, the city administration reported.
Earlier, in the VIZ (Verkh-Isetsky Zavod) district, trams stopped on Dolores Ibarruri Street due to damage to the overhead contact line.
Drivers often disrupt tram traffic. In mid-January, a carsharing vehicle drove onto the tracks and got stuck, blocking the trams.
In the ZhBI microdistrict, transport disruptions are also common. In December, tram traffic stopped due to fireworks sparking over the road.
