M-8 Highway in Yaroslavl Gets New Spider Cameras

The State Traffic Inspectorate announced on January 23 the commissioning of nine new stationary Spider complexes on the M-8 «Kholmogory» highway section passing through Yaroslavl Region.
The cameras were placed at the following addresses:
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 308 km 995 m (near the village of Tufanovo);
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 317 km 548 m (near the village of Podolnovo);
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 319 km 552 m (near the village of Babayevo);
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 347 km 850 m (pedestrian crossing near the school in the village of Makarovo);
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 334 km 855 m (Danilovsky District);
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 305 km 028 m (village of Kostyushino, Danilovsky District);
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 314 km 740 m (near the village of Pasyankovo);
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 343 km 100 m (village of Sloboda);
- M-8 «Kholmogory», 321 km 693 m (village of Zvonkaya).
Information about plans to install similar complexes in the region appeared back in February 2025. The total cost of the large-scale contract, which provides for the installation of equipment at 320 addresses, is 3.5 billion rubles (approximately $35 million at current rates).
The new control devices are designed for the simultaneous recording of three common violations: exceeding the set speed limit, unfastened seat belts for the driver and passengers, and the use of a phone by the driver while operating a vehicle.
