M-4 Don Highway Traffic Change in Voronezh Region
From February 10, the traffic scheme will change on the 542nd kilometer of the alternative highway M-4 «Don» — the section passes through the villages of Rogachevka and Novaya Usman in Voronezh Region. As explained by Avtodor, a major overhaul of the overpass will be carried out there.
— «In the area of the existing transport interchange at the 542nd kilometer, traffic will be organized at a single level for the duration of the work,» — the company warned.
Motorists are asked to be careful, observe the speed limit, and plan their route in advance. It became known in March 2025 that a major overhaul of the overpass on this section of the M-4 had been approved.
— «The bridge structure was built in 1982. Currently, the facility is in unsatisfactory technical and operational condition,» — reported Glavgosexpertiza of Russia at the time.
The length of the section to be renovated is more than 250 meters; the overpass length is 73 meters. The bridge deck, main load-bearing structures of spans and supports will be dismantled. Everything will be arranged according to a new scheme to meet modern transport loads — including the earth roadbed on the approaches to the overpass. Plus, external electric lighting will be installed. The new overpass will be three-span with two traffic lanes. The customer of the capital repair is the state company Russian Highways. How long it will last is not specified.
