Lada Priora Crashes Into Pole Near Volgograd Police
A driver suffered head injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance after his Lada Priora crashed into a lighting pole opposite a police station in Volgograd. Medics assess his condition as moderate.

At noon on Machtzavodskaya Street in the Krasnoarmeysky District of Volgograd, a Lada Priora collided with a lighting pole.
The accident occurred opposite the building of Police Department No. 8 and near Kindergarten No. 367.
According to witnesses, the driver sustained serious head injuries and was in an altered state of consciousness. Witnesses suggested he may have been behaving abnormally.
According to witnesses, the car skidded and then crashed into the pole. The impact threw the car sideways. Noticeable blood stains remained on the driver«s seat, steering wheel, and passenger door.
The regional health committee confirmed that an ambulance was dispatched to the scene. «The patient was admitted to the maxillofacial surgery department of City Hospital No. 1,» the committee added. «His condition is of moderate severity.»
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volgograd Region (GU MVD) commented briefly: «The driver lost control and hit a pole. He was injured in the accident.»
The day before, in the Krasnooktyabrsky District of the city, a truck driver also crashed into a pole. The damage was so severe that he needed rescue assistance, but after being examined by medics, he refused hospitalization.
