Kuzbass Authorities Plan to Eliminate Gas Station Queues

The situation on the fuel market in Kuzbass remains acute: gas stations are far from everywhere, and where gasoline remains, queues form. On Monday, July 20, the regional administration announced what solution they found for these and other problems that arose during the fuel crisis.

According to the authorities, more than 100 tank cars with fuel are approaching unloading points in the region. These include diesel, AI-95, and AI-92 gasoline. The total number of liters is not specified.

Furthermore, according to the document, the administration has agreed to supply independent gas stations that previously worked with other suppliers, which should ideally help reduce queues at gas stations by increasing the number of open points.

«At the end of the week, the number of gas stations with gasoline in stock decreased in Kuzbass. This naturally led to longer queues at the remaining stations. We have taken immediate measures, including — ensuring round-the-clock fuel loading,» said the head of the region.

It is also clarified that cases of price gouging on fuel have already been recorded in the region, which are being monitored by supervisory authorities, and violators face inspections and fines.
